21 years ago, the then chief conservator of the Museum of Art of São Paulo (MASP) Ferdinand Magellan and Pirelo Sierra, at the time, CEO of Pirelli national, decided to gather images from all over Brazil to form a coherent mosaic of photographic production in the country . Thus began the collection Pirelli / MASP, now the longest partnership between a museum and a sponsoring company and perhaps the most complete and important panel of Brazilian photography since 1940. To celebrate adulthood, opens tomorrow, the 29th, the 19th edition open to visitors, presented with 30 unpublished photos of names that have influenced generations and became true landmarks.
