INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE MASP

In its galleries and the streets, MASP presents the work of some of the most representative international names in street art

After the success of the exhibition Inside Out / From Inside To Outside, that in 2009 and 2010, took more than 140,000 visitors to the MASP for the art produced in urban Brazil, the Art Museum of Sao Paulo has expanded its foray into world of street art, bringing the country to some major international artists of the genre.

The poster from this Wednesday, the 17th, the expo From Within and From Outside remains in the city until December 23, proposing a reflection on the role of art in an urban setting and the rediscovery of diversity. Initiative of the curator of the MASP Teixeira Coelho, the show is curated special Low Ribeiro, Eduardo Saretta and Mariana Martins and will use the architecture of the museum - as well as its exterior - as the basis for graffiti, photography, video, sculpture, painting, murals collage and installation of eight international artists: the French Remed, JR and Invader, Czech Point, Argentines Tec, Disabilities, and Chu and U.S. Swoon.

The expo From Inside and Outside In is on display from August 17 ​​to December 23 in MASP (Avenida Paulista, 1578), and includes seminars, workshops, festival videos and roundtables. The museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays (and holidays), from 11h to 18h; on Thursdays, open from 11h to 20h. Admission is $ 15.00 full-and half for students.
