Where does the name of El Nino?
The name El Nino came from Chris, who wanted to use a name that would speak anywhere in the world and with the Universe, the Sea

What are the influences of El Nino?

But we took a lot of MPB, and also a new guy called Pete Murray! This is one of my inspirations to sing, because it uses techniques that amaze me. We could frame the band in these segments of music, but we would call "Acoustic Soul Pop Rock with influences from MPB, hehehe." It would be hard to explain, why we can not avoid the term "Authentic Surf Music" by the practice that we have with surfing and the fact that we have as a theme in our songs are inspired from the sea!
What are your plans for the future? (Cd, shows, Tournes?)
Plans are already happening, we are closing with Ronaldão, who was the manager of music stars such as Kassia Eller and Zelia Duncan. We will be with the page on My Space (Official El Nino) and there you can download the tracks "Responsible" and "Spirit of the Sea." The CD is being negotiated with several record companies who have requested confidentiality, but we will soon be in stores as well.
